5th, many of the perpetrators on the list I posted are British or EU citizens.
Most are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants.

Joe R

A lot of the original commentary on this horrendous set of murders assumed either it was terrorism or that the bloke was an asylum seeker or both. In fact he was Portuguese. And was brought up in Pembrokeshire.according to the news.

There weren't many who were assuming he was an EU Passport holder from southern Europe who was raised here.

As no one had mentioned this news on the thread I thought it was relevant and people would be interested.

5. Don’t bother owning anything nice. It’ll be nicked either from your person or off your driveway or from your house. Don’t expect the police to bother trying to catch whoever did it.

Re: Nottingham
Darlington is obviously stuck in a bit of a timewarp, Debs, because the 4 things you need to know in London these days is:

1 The importance of not respecting queuing, and it being a free-for-all just trying to get on a train
2 The proper reaction when someone 'disrespects' you - don't say anything or you might get stabbed up
3 Moaning about straight white men....whatever the weather
4 Don't, under any circumstances, get dropped off 2 streets away from where you live in a cab when it's in the early hours

You'll have a much better chance of fitting in and surviving down here if you heed to those rules, rather than your outdated claptrap.

The idea of a citizenship.test is daft.
They need to know 4 things:

1 The importance of queuing
2 The proper reaction when.someone spills pints or drops glasses in public
3. Moaning about.the weather.....whatever the.weather
4 No matter if a cab drops you off two.streets away you say that's close enough mate thanks...and dont forget to ask.if they've been busy.

Re: Nottingham
"Settled status" is only almost an immigrant. Bloke might have decided to become an immigrant if he hadn't preferred to be a multiple murderer instead.

However well he does in the citizenship test, I suspect he'd get turned down now.

For some reason the word immigrant is missing from your post.

Re: Nottingham
So the murderer grew up in Pembrokeshire and has a Portuguese Passport and has settled status in UK through Portuguese nationality. And is from a Christian family.

Absolutely horrific incident.

Bugger all to do with refugees/asylum seekers/terrorism though it seems.

Details as reported after his first appearance in court today.

Re: Nottingham
Hate crimes can only be white on black.

When it’s black on white it’s normally defined as mental health and swept under the carpet.

White lives don’t matter even in a country which is 85% white 🤷🏻‍♂️

Has it been classified as a hate crime yet?

Is it possible because it was around dawn it all started that he was off his nut on drugs from a night out and had a fucking catastrophe of a trip?

The time of day he committed all this is strange is all.

Nottingham attack suspect comes from 'hard-working' Christian family
Valdo Calocane's parents, originally from West Africa, settled in Welsh town where neighbours described him as 'polite and intelligent'

Also, he was a mechanical engineer by education.

Does "Mentalist" cover mental health problems and personality disorders?

Re: Nottingham
Nurse isn't a personality disorder a mental.health disorder then?

Fwiw there are checks and balances within the Mental Health Act (.or it might be the Mental.Capacity Act).that does give provision for someone who us being treated in the community under a Community Treatment Oder to have that order revoked and for them.to be sectioned again. However this person may have slipped through tbe net
.

For the record I saw plenty if people trying to lay this claim of Mental health on Jo Cox's murderer. It's a very dark road to go down to be saying if someone murders and are non white or Muslims etc then they are responsible for their actions in every case but not if the murderer is sympathetic to your values., they can be labelled as mentally ill. There are very specific criteria upon which a person's capacity is assessed . As in all instances it has to be done case by case.

Re: Nottingham
You make a very good point, Mr Comma, and it sounds like the safety of the general public is important to you. So in the further interests of public safety, do I take it you would support measures to build many more prisons, much longer sentences for violent crimes, thoroughly screening potential migrants and deporting violent foreign criminals without multiple time-wasting legal appeals? Or is it just the mentally ill you'd see locked up indefinitely?

Thatcher, eh?

Was there some reason Blair or Brown couldn't have done something about it during their combined 14 years in charge.

Silly person.
